What I love most in life, I enrich my life with daily. For me, faith comes first. It’s the foundation of a happy, successful life. Second, love. I am blessed with a wonderful husband who is my companion in every part of life, who shares my same talents, hobbies and beliefs. He’s there for me every step of the way, and for that I’m grateful to have him as my best-friend. Third, family. A system to help, support and encourage my talents and goals in life. I am so grateful for them and all they have taught me in life, and for their unconditional love.
Artist
I’ve been drawing since I could hold a pencil. I love art and everything that comes with it; the reaction from people who view it and the therapeutic fulfillment in creating it.
I began my Art career a traditional artist. There’s nothing like getting your hands dirty with clay when sculpting, oil paint or acrylic when painting a masterpiece, or even find that after the work is done you happened to get half of the material on the walls.
When my husband and I moved to California into our newlywed apartment I quickly found that there was no room for a studio where I would feel comfortable ‘getting messy’. That is when I was first introduced to digital painting. I now have a ‘digital art studio’ where I am shocked by the possibilities… the endless possibilities that my talent is able to take me. It is so fun and such a joy to work with my ‘digital canvas’ and my ‘digital … whatever I want my medium of choice to be’. :)
Creative Photographer
Photography is a passion, a hobby I enjoy on a near daily basis. I love to break the rules of the ‘norm’ with photography and try something new. I enjoy viewing the world in ways that go beyond the imagination. In my mind, there are colors the eyes are incapable of seeing, but through talent and an artistic eye – they can be brought to life. Texture that tells the story of the experience in person, and composition that preserves the moment.
For me, a successful image is one that can be shared. A moment captured that touches another’s heart and puts into words what the voice cannot fully say aloud.
When taking photos on the run, I use a Canon Powershot. When on a shoot, I use Canon EOS 7D. I edit my photos using Adobe Photoshop CS5 & Adobe Lightroom 4.
